Camp Cranium is a non-profit program dedicated to providing one-of-a-kind experiences for children ages 6-18 with brain injuries. For a week each summer, children who have had a traumatic brain injury or acquired brain injury have the unique opportunity to meet other children with brain injuries in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. In the winter the children have the opportunity to engage in an all abilities ski retreat. Campers form lasting friendships, improve their self-confidence and independence, and achieve goals they didn’t believe were possible. As a 501(c)3 our program aligns with The Brain Injury Association of America's definition of Acquired Brain Injuries (Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Brain Injuries). Qualifying campers that are eligible to participate in Camp Cranium's programs have had an Acquired Brain Injury, both Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Brain Injuries. "An acquired brain injury is an injury to the brain, which is not hereditary, congenital, degenerative, or induced by birth trauma. An acquired brain injury is an injury to the brain that has occurred after birth." (The Brain Injury Association of America)

I don’t have the words to describe what the mission, perseverance, beauty, and utter fight that is @hopeheals has meant for me — especially these past six months. Katherine and Jay, happy book birthday!!!!!!!! I am jealous for #sufferstrongbook to get into people’s hands everywhere. Thank you for teaching my family first hand that we don’t just get to live beyond our circumstances, but we get to live wildly beyond the limitations they might imply. I love you guys so so so much. Thank you for your brave message, for going before us. And a side note: Katherine, thank you for teaching Eva that you can still be gorgeous and funny and on stages everywhere, even if that sometimes means it’s from a wheelchair. Stylish and bold and “famous” 😂 and funny and “a worshiper” is all Eva ever wanted to be. And so, I point to you, K. I hold up your books and your videos and say, “look baby, this is my friend Katherine. She used to be a model which is nice but now she gets to be pretty AND change the world. You can, too.” Xoxo, L | update: have you guys read Hope Heals? Or are planning on ordering Suffer Strong? Our whole team is excited to circle through it! Tag some friends or let us know if you’re planning to read, too! Xo, Joy
